OK, this is another “non-Airstream travel” post, so I’ll be brief. I sanded the road side today. I discovered the bondo my dad found when he installed the hatch doors. It seems my little boler was in a lane-change mishap or a tree jumped out when it was being parked. I guess it won’t become a Rat Rod after all.
In the spring, I’ll remove the lights, water inlets, etc. I don’t want to get in over my head this late in the season.
I’m impressed !!!!! well done . To make it flat and smooth after the sander
What should I do to make it flat and smooth? I was going to increase the grit next spring. It definitely needs a pro to go over it before it goes in for painting. Now, I have all winter to consider painting it all or just the lower half.
Your little “Texas Belle” is looking a bit rough now!
Ha ha ha. You remember the “don’t mess with Texas” bumper sticker. I wonder if she ever traveled that far.
